We do not employ people, we create entrepreneurs. A Basadi Bloomer (as they are affectionately known) is more than an employee.
They are business owners in the making. Their tenure with us is used to upskill, train, and mentor our employees. At the end of their contract, ownership of our vehicle is passed onto our Bloomers through our owner-driver program. This, together with the required skills passed on to them through extensive training programs, will enable them to successfully run a business of their own.
The heart of Basadi Bloom is centred around our people. We employ qualified and experienced young Black women who are entrepreneurial and share the same vision of our company.
Our sites are assigned with new vehicles and equipment. Our rigorous care, health, safety and quality standards and maintenance of vehicles and equipment ensures that our drivers own a quality vehicle that will continue to sustain them in their own business.
Our owner-drivers will continue to be part of the Basadi Bloom family and will receive training and support even after their exit from the business. Our focus is ensuring empowerment that is sustainable and impactful. We do not only empower women, we make a lasting impact.
We aim to transform this industry. We will create opportunities and empower women who are skilled, trained, and equipped to own and run a business that will sustain them, their families, and the communities they live in. We want to make a lasting and positive impact.
We care for our family; our employees. Our employees deployed at our client’s site are fully insured for accident, life, disability, and funeral cover. Added to this, an employee of Basadi Bloom will have a primary health benefit in place. This way, our clients, and employees alike can rest assured that in the unlikely event of an accident or incident either on site, or on the road; they will be insured to receive emergency medical care.
The heart of Basadi Bloom is a company focused on providing a quality of life that is above the industry norm. We will ensure continuity.
We believe in poverty alleviation through sustainable business principles. Basadi Bloom believes in the United Nations Millennium Goals aimed at challenging the indignity of poverty.
We subscribe to goals, aimed at ensuring environmental sustainability by halving the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation.
WASH has become a focus and a development priority for the United Nations and UNICEF and focuses on the reduction of poverty, ill health, death, and improve the socioeconomic development of communities.
Effective sanitation, and good hygiene.
We create sustainable communities in partnership with business.
The Basadi Foundation has a clear mandate to work with partners and communities to address key social issues in the areas we operate. Basadi Bloom strives to be responsible social partner delivering community development through the operations and activities of our Foundation. The benefit will flow directly to the communities in which we and our clients do business.
